Kingussie lies in the Cairngorms National Park along the A9, making it a convenient Highland base between Perth (2.5 hours) and Inverness (45 minutes). The A86 branches west toward Fort William, whilst local routes connect to Newtonmore and Aviemore. Around 15 fast EV chargers serve the area. The prominent ruins of Ruthven Barracks overlook the town from their hilltop perch.
