Kingarth

Scotland

Scotland

Kingarth sits at the southern end of the Isle of Bute, reached by ferry from Wemyss Bay then a 15-minute drive south on the A844 from Rothesay. The village overlooks the Firth of Clyde with views across to Arran, surrounded by gentle farmland and coastal paths. It's home to the atmospheric ruins of St. Blane's Chapel, a 12th-century monastery built where the saint founded a Christian settlement in the 6th century.
