Kiltarlity lies in the Scottish Highlands, 15 kilometres west of Inverness along the A862. This small village sits in the Beauly valley, serving as a gateway to Glen Strathfarrar and the western Highlands. Most visitors drive from Inverness in 20 minutes, though the village also connects to Beauly and Cannich. Electric vehicle drivers can access roughly 7 fast chargers in the area. The village is notable for the ruins of Beaufort Castle, demolished in 1995 after a 1937 fire left it derelict.
