Kilroot lies on Northern Ireland's Antrim coast, roughly 20km northeast of Belfast between the lough and the Irish Sea. The A2 coastal road provides the main access from Belfast via Carrickfergus, whilst the M2 offers a quicker route to join the A2. With over 100 EV charging points nearby and close proximity to both Carrickfergus Castle and the Causeway Coastal Route, it's well-positioned for exploring the Antrim coastline. The area is dominated by Kilroot Power Station, a major electricity generation facility that's been a fixture of the Belfast Lough skyline for generations.
