Kilmainhamwood is a quiet County Meath town about 70 kilometers northwest of Dublin, reached via the M3 to Navan then the N3 toward Kells before turning west on local roads. The journey from Belfast takes roughly two hours via the M1 and M3. The R154 connects the area to nearby Kells, 15 kilometers east. Two golf courses at Headfort offer tree-lined fairways for players, while the town's Catholic church displays a distinctive 19th-century bell tower that still marks the hours for locals.
