Killowen occupies a lovely spot along Carlingford Lough in County Down, with the Mourne Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop. The A2 coastal road connects it to Warrenpoint and points south, whilst the main approach from Belfast involves the A1 to Newry then the A2 eastward. Electric vehicle drivers will find roughly 25 fast charging points in the surrounding area. The village boasts St. Bronagh's Church, whose medieval stonework has overlooked the lough for centuries.
