Killingworth is a planned town in North Tyneside, built in the 1960s northeast of Newcastle. The A19 provides the main connection, with the A1058 Coast Road offering access from Newcastle city center about 10km away. Popular routes include drives to Newcastle, the coast at Whitley Bay, and longer trips via the nearby A1. The town centers around an artificial lake that's become the heart of local sailing and community life.
