Killala sits where the River Moy meets Killala Bay on Mayo's coast, right on the Wild Atlantic Way with grand views across to the Ox Mountains. The town is 250 kilometers from Dublin via the M4, N5, and R314 through Castlebar, or a quick 12 kilometers north of Ballina on the N26. There's decent electric charging infrastructure with about 13 fast stations nearby. The Connacht Whiskey Company and Kilcullen's Seaweed Bath House draw visitors, while Enniscrone's championship golf course and beach are just up the road. Killala's 12th-century round tower stands 84 feet tall and can be spotted from miles away across the flat coastal plain.
