Kilconnell sits between Cashel and Clonmel in County Tipperary, making it a handy stop along the N24 route connecting Cork and Waterford. Most visitors arrive via the M7 from Dublin, then take local roads south for about 160 kilometers total. The N76 from Kilkenny offers another approach. The village serves as a good base for exploring the area, with decent EV charging infrastructure and nearby Dundrum Golf Course. The main draw is the ruins of a 14th-century Franciscan friary from 1353, where Gothic arches and stone walls still stand strong.
