Kilchiaran

Kilchiaran is a small coastal village on Islay's Atlantic-facing shore, reached via ferry from Kennacraig then the A847 and minor roads. Popular with whisky tourists and seal-watchers, it's about 30 minutes from Port Ellen and 15km from Islay Airport. The village overlooks Machir Bay, where grey seals regularly bask on the sandy beach.
