The area developed during Basingstoke's rapid expansion in the 1970s and 80s, sitting on typical Hampshire chalk downland. With over 80 EV charging points nearby and good links to Reading, Winchester, and London, it serves both commuters and local residents. Kempshott Park hosts several amateur football clubs on its extensive playing fields.
