Kaimend lies along the A70 between Edinburgh and Ayr, about 35km southwest of the capital. The area serves as a useful stopping point for journeys through South Lanarkshire, with the A702 offering a scenic alternative route via Biggar. Electric vehicle drivers will find around 11 fast chargers nearby, whilst the surrounding countryside features the historic Cleghorn Mill, one of Scotland's last working watermills.
