Jordanhill occupies elevated ground on Glasgow's northwest edge, easily reached via the A82 Great Western Road or M8 Junction 17 at Anniesland. This leafy residential area developed around the former teacher training college, whose distinctive red sandstone buildings and prominent clock tower still dominate the local skyline.
