Islesteps lies just off the A76, five kilometres northwest of Dumfries in the Nith Valley. This small settlement connects easily to Glasgow via the A76 or Edinburgh through the A701 and Southern Uplands. With over 20 EV charging points in nearby Dumfries, it's well-positioned for electric vehicle travel. The village gets its name from ancient stepping stones that once provided a river crossing point before proper bridges existed.
