Irvine lies 30 miles southwest of Glasgow on the Ayrshire coast, reached via the M8 and A78 through Largs, or the A71 through Kilmarnock. The A78 coastal route handles traffic between Troon and Ardrossan, whilst Glasgow Prestwick Airport sits just south of town. With over 60 EV charging points and its distinctive 1960s pedestrianised town centre, Irvine remains a notable example of Scottish new town planning.
