Insch is a small Aberdeenshire town on the A96 between Aberdeen and Inverness, about 35km northwest of Aberdeen city centre. Set in the Garioch valley with views to Bennachie, it's well-positioned for exploring castle country and the whisky trail. The town sits on the main Aberdeen-Inverness railway line and has good EV charging infrastructure. Its most recognisable feature is the impressive stone railway viaduct that spans the valley.
