Idle is a former mill village on Bradford's northern edge, straddling the A657 Harrogate Road just three miles from the city centre. Most drivers arrive via this main route or from Junction 3 of the A658 ring road. It's a natural stop between Leeds Bradford Airport and Bradford, with good access to the M606 for longer journeys. The Victorian Holy Trinity Church dominates the village with its distinctive spire visible across the Aire Valley.
