Icklingham is a small Suffolk village on the A1101 between Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds, positioned near several RAF bases in the Breckland area. Most visitors arrive via the A14 and A1101 from Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds, whilst locals often use the direct route from Thetford. The village sits amongst typical Suffolk farmland and heath, with the River Lark meandering through nearby water meadows. All Saints Church houses remarkable 14th-century wall paintings of Saint Christopher, discovered beneath Victorian whitewash in the 1960s.
