Husthwaite is a North Yorkshire village positioned between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, about 20 kilometres north of York. Reach it via the A19 north from York, then west through Easingwold, or from Thirsk using the A170 eastward to local roads. The village sits near Newburgh Priory, which claims to house Oliver Cromwell's headless remains in a sealed, unopened tomb.
