Hunwick is a former County Durham mining village on the A689 between Bishop Auckland and Stanhope. Most visitors arrive via the A68 and local roads, with the A1(M) about 15km east providing motorway access. The village sits among rolling Wear Valley countryside with over 100 EV charging points in the wider area. The original village green still features a working red telephone box.
