Howes is a small settlement near Annan in Dumfries and Galloway, just off the A75 trunk road to Stranraer. It's easily reached from the M74 via Gretna (15 miles) or from Carlisle across the border. The area has about 15 EV charging points nearby. The name derives from Old Norse "haugr," meaning burial mound, highlighting the region's Viking past.
