Houndstone is a residential area just outside Yeovil in Somerset's rolling countryside. The A37 provides the main access route, whilst the nearby A303 connects to London. Local drivers use the A3088 for trips into Yeovil centre. RNAS Yeovilton nearby is home to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and frequent naval helicopter training flights.
