Hougharry lies on North Uist's Atlantic coast in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A865 from Benbecula Airport (30km) or Lochmaddy ferry terminal (25km). The settlement sits among typical machair grassland and scattered lochs, with about 2 EV charging points serving the area. It's perfectly positioned for the RSPB Balranald Nature Reserve, one of Britain's few reliable spots to hear corncrakes calling on summer evenings.
