Horsebridge is a small Devon village near the Cornish border, reached via country lanes from Tavistock about 6km northeast. The A390 and A386 provide main road connections, with the A30 trunk road 15km north for longer journeys. The settlement's name comes from an old packhorse bridge that carried ancient mining routes between Devon and Cornwall's ports.
