Honicknowle occupies elevated ground on Plymouth's northern fringe, just a mile from the city centre and close to Devonport's naval facilities. The A386 runs directly through the area northward to Tavistock, whilst the A38 provides swift access from the east via Plymouth's ring road system. With over 100 EV charging points across Plymouth, electric vehicle drivers are well catered for when exploring this corner of Devon. The district centres on one of Plymouth's largest 1960s council estates, originally built to house naval families from the nearby Royal Dockyard.
