Holycross is a small County Tipperary village built around its spectacular 15th-century Cistercian abbey, which houses a fragment of the True Cross that gives the place its name. The village sits along the River Suir in the Golden Vale, connected by the R660 to Thurles 6 kilometers north and Cashel 16 kilometers southeast. Most visitors come via the M8 and N62 from Dublin, about 90 minutes away, or follow the R660 through Horse and Jockey from Cashel. Electric vehicle charging is available in nearby Thurles and Cashel, with around 19 fast charging stations serving the broader area.
