Histon sits just north of Cambridge, having grown from an agricultural village into a suburban community that serves commuters whilst keeping its own identity. The B1049 runs straight through to Cambridge city centre 4 miles south, whilst the A14 provides swift access west to Huntingdon and the M11, or east towards Newmarket. Local routes connect to Cottenham and other nearby villages, with over 100 EV charging points in the area. The village is home to Histon FC, founded in 1904 at Bridge Road, which has produced several professional footballers over the years.
