Hillswick perches on Shetland's northwest coast, reached via the A970 north from Lerwick, then the A971 through Aith and finally the B9078. The 45-kilometre journey from Lerwick takes about an hour across typical Shetland moorland. One fast EV charger operates nearby, though it's wise to top up in Lerwick first. The village sits dramatically beside the North Atlantic, where you can spot Dore Holm, a magnificent natural stone arch rising straight from the sea.
