Hightae lies in Dumfries and Galloway's countryside, accessible via the A709 between Lockerbie and Lochmaben. Most visitors arrive via the A74(M), exiting at Junction 17 then following the A709 west for 7km. The area has over 20 public fast chargers nearby, mainly around Lockerbie. Stone markers along old cattle drove roads still mark the traditional routes that once carried Scottish herds to English markets.
