Higher Batson is a small coastal settlement near Salcombe in South Devon, reached via the A381 through Kingsbridge then narrow lanes toward the coast. The village sits above the Kingsbridge Estuary with good access to coastal walks and the South West Coast Path. Electric vehicle drivers will find around 18 fast chargers in the Salcombe area. The name "batson" comes from a medieval term for grazing strips.
