High Coniscliffe is a County Durham village just west of Darlington on the A67, easily reached from the A1(M) in 15 minutes. The village sits above the River Tees valley and serves as a gateway between Darlington's urban area and the Yorkshire Dales. St. Edwin's church houses an exceptional Saxon cross shaft over 1,000 years old.
