Heyrod is a small Pennine village in Tameside, positioned between Manchester's urban edge and the open moors. The A635 runs through the village, connecting to the M60 orbital within 15 minutes for Manchester city center or M62 cross-Pennine routes. Local drivers use the A670 toward Oldham or B6175 to Mossley, while Manchester Airport lies 45 minutes via the M60. The village's original millstone grit cottages display the characteristic golden-brown stone that defines this corner of Greater Manchester.
