Heylipol lies on Tiree, reached only by CalMac ferry from Oban (three hours) then island's single-track roads. The settlement sits on Gott Bay's eastern shore, connected to Scarinish and other villages by the main cross-island route. Tiree Airport sits practically next door, offering flights to Glasgow. Traditional blackhouses once lined this sheltered bay where crofting continues today.
