Hett is a small County Durham village between Durham and Spennymoor, reached via the A167 south from Durham then local roads west. The B6288 provides an alternative route from Bishop Auckland direction. Electric vehicle charging is available at numerous points in nearby Durham and along the A1(M). The village's Norman church, St. Andrew's, sits prominently on a hill with medieval stonework overlooking the surrounding countryside.
