Henstridge lies along the A30 between Sherborne and Yeovil in Somerset's farming country near the Dorset border. The A30 provides direct access from Sherborne (8 miles) or connects via Wincanton to the A303 for longer journeys. Local routes serve nearby Templecombe's railway station and Dorset market towns. RNAS Yeovilton houses the Fleet Air Arm Museum with its collection of naval aircraft.
