Hedon
England
Hedon lies 8 miles east of Hull in the East Riding, reached via the A1033 which continues to Withernsea and Spurn Point. The B1240 heads north to Hornsea, whilst local roads serve Preston and Thorngumbald. Most visitors drive from Hull in 15 minutes, though long-distance travellers use Junction 38 of the M62. The town's defining landmark is St. Augustine's Church, whose medieval tower earned the nickname "King of Holderness" for its commanding presence across the flat countryside.
