Hawkinge perches on the North Downs between Folkestone and Canterbury, accessible via the A260 from M20 Junction 13. This former RAF base turned village offers excellent Channel views and serves as a handy stop for Dover ferry traffic. The old airfield now houses a Battle of Britain museum commemorating its role as Fighter Command's forward base during 1940.
