Harrier sits on Shetland's western edge, reached via the A971 from Lerwick through typical island moorland. The 35-kilometre drive passes scattered crofts and offers glimpses of Foula's dramatic cliffs across the sound. Local roads serve the sparse population, whilst EV drivers should charge in Lerwick before venturing west. The settlement provides access to some of Shetland's wildest coastal scenery.
