Harraton lies between Newcastle and Sunderland in Tyne and Wear, easily reached via the A1231 Sunderland Highway. The former pit village connects to the A1(M) through Chester-le-Street and the A194(M) for Newcastle, with over 400 EV charging points nearby. The preserved Pithead Baths building, complete with original railings, still stands as a reminder of the area's coal mining past.
