Harpsden is a Chiltern Hills village two kilometres from Henley-on-Thames, reached via the A4155 and local roads. The M40 Junction 4 provides the main London connection, whilst Reading lies 20km southeast. Popular local routes include drives to Shiplake and through the beech woods to Oxford. The 12th-century church of St. Margaret contains a rare medieval wall painting of St. Christopher.
