Hargate lies in Norfolk's quiet countryside between Attleborough and Wymondham, reached via the B1113 and country lanes from New Buckenham. The A11 provides the main long-distance connection about 8km west, whilst local routes link nearby villages like Bunwell and Carleton Rode. The parish church houses an exceptional 15th-century painted rood screen.
