Handbridge lies just across the River Dee from Chester city centre, linked by the historic Old Dee Bridge. The A548 runs through the area, with easy access from the M53 (Junction 12) via the A557, whilst the A55 provides quick connections to North Wales. Popular local routes include trips to Chester's Rows and cathedral, plus scenic drives along the Dee valley to Eccleston and beyond. The 13th-century Old Dee Bridge remains one of Britain's oldest stone river crossings.
