Halton Shields lies in rural Northumberland, roughly 8km northwest of Corbridge near Hadrian's Wall. Access is via the A69 trunk road, then local lanes through Wall Houses, or from the south via Corbridge. The B6318 Military Road runs nearby, following the Wall itself. With over 30 fast EV chargers in the area and excellent links to Newcastle, it's perfectly placed for exploring the Roman frontier, particularly the remarkably intact bath house at nearby Cilurnum.
