Halton Gill

Halton Gill occupies one of the Yorkshire Dales' most remote corners, tucked into upper Littondale beneath Pen-y-ghent. Reach it via the B6160 through Grassington, then follow increasingly narrow lanes north through Litton - the final stretch is single-track with passing places. The Methodist chapel from 1863 still serves this tiny farming community of scattered stone houses.
