Hall Cliffe lies between Wakefield and Horbury in West Yorkshire's closely-knit urban belt. The M1 provides the main long-distance connection, whilst the A642 Wakefield Road runs straight through for local journeys between neighbouring towns. Most traffic comes from Wakefield city centre just one kilometre away or from nearby Horbury and Ossett. The area sits at a natural crossroads where several former mining towns meet, creating surprisingly busy pedestrian movement for such a small residential district.
