Hale Common lies in the Isle of Wight's eastern countryside between Sandown and Bembridge. Reach it via the A3055 and local roads after crossing from Portsmouth or Southampton by ferry. Popular routes include short trips to Sandown's beaches (5km) or Bembridge's harbour (4km), with longer drives to Newport or Ventnor. The nearby Bembridge Airport remains one of Britain's oldest licensed airfields, still welcoming private aircraft today.
