Hadston is a former mining village in Northumberland, about 35 miles north of Newcastle via the A1 and A1068. The A1068 coast road provides the main route through the area, connecting Alnwick to the north with Ashington to the south. Electric vehicle drivers will find roughly 50 fast charging points nearby. The village still has remnants of its coal mining heritage, including the preserved pithead baths building at nearby Lynemouth Colliery.
