Hadd occupies a remote corner of the Shetland Islands, accessible via the A970 from Sumburgh Airport (80km) or Lerwick ferry terminal. The settlement serves the scattered crofting communities of northern Shetland, where sheep roam unfenced moorland that rolls directly to the Atlantic cliffs.
