Gwenter lies on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula, connected via the A3083 through Helston to major routes. Most visitors arrive from the north, whilst locals make short trips to nearby Coverack and Saint Keverne. The village retains links to the traditional serpentine stone trade that has defined the area for generations.
