Gunnerton is a small Northumberland village near Hadrian's Wall, about 25km northwest of Hexham via the B6318 Military Road. Most visitors arrive from Newcastle (45 minutes via A69 and A6079) or use the historic Military Road connecting Carlisle and Newcastle. The village sits close to Chesters Roman Fort, home to Britain's best-preserved Roman cavalry bathhouse with intact changing rooms.
